Announcements

Media Equipment Checkout Closed for the Summer.

Media equipment checkout will be suspended for the summer. We will be transferring from our current reservation platform to LibCal in the coming months. Expect an improved and more intuitive checkout experience in the fall!

Limited Studio Access During the Summer

Self-booking access to the studios, including Studio A, Studio C, and the audio booths, will not be available during the summer. If you would like to utilize any of these studios over the next couple of months, please contact Brandon_Kruse1@baylor.edu to inquire about studio availability and schedule a reservation.

Creative Media Pathways Under Re-Evaluation

Pathways was introduced during the 2025-26 academic year to orient new patrons to our policies and procedures, reservation platform, studios and equipment, and other aspects of our services. While this initiative sought to enhance the onboarding experience for new users, it will undergo signficant revisions and restructuring over the summer. Expect a simplified and more streamlined access process for our media equipment and studios by the fall semester.

Policies

RESERVATION TERMS - follow email notices and online reservation record.
All reservations will start and end at the specified times. All resources must be returned directly to Creative Media and patrons must notify staff at conclusion of space reservations. Reservations may not be extended to preserve other patron reservations, and will be subject to cancelation for late arrival after 15 minutes for space reservations and 8 hours after missed check out for equipment reservations. It is your responsibility to know open hours. Patrons with overdue equipment will have their privileges temporarily suspended, until equipment is returned. Abuse of the reservation terms could result in lost privileges.

UNIVERSITY ID CARD USE - use only your own University ID.
Patrons may only use equipment and spaces by presenting their own University ID. No patron of this program may use another individual's identity to use any equipment or spaces.

OVERDUE FEES - fees apply for equipment not returned within 24 hours of the due date.
You will incur a fee for each calendar day equipment is kept 24 hours past the due date. Daily fees are $15 per booking. Patrons with fees over $45 will have their privileges temporarily suspended, until fees are paid. Regardless of any fees, all items must be returned. [NOTE: one week following the due date, you will incur additional charges for unreturned items. Faculty & Staff may have an alternative fee process.]

DAMAGE FEES - you will be charged for damages you cause.
Patrons of this program will be held responsible for any operational or cosmetic damages that occur to our equipment or spaces during your use. Patrons are responsible for returning equipment in good working condition and must report any damage or malfunctions when they are discovered or occur.

THEFT & LOSS - you are responsible for items in your care.
Patrons will be held responsible, up to replacement cost plus expenses, for the theft or loss of any equipment checked out to them. Patrons are responsible for ensuring all parts and equipment are present upon check out and responsible for returning all parts and equipment as listed on the equipment reservation page when checking in the equipment. Creative Media equipment in a patron's care should never be left unattended.  Patrons may be held accountable for theft of equipment fraudulently checked out.

ADDITIONALLY, BAYLOR UNIVERSITY GUIDELINES AND POLICIES APPLY TO CREATIVE MEDIA RESERVATION EQUIPMENT AND SPACES.
